Hot summer nights  –  Vicki Sue Robinson (Vicki and her producer Warren Schatz branched out from RCA    with just slighty changing her sound  – written by herself & Warren … released on Prelude Records)

Cheaper to keeper  –  MFSB (Originally called ‘The Family’ when a few singles were released on the ‘test-bed’ label North Bay Records … for years i was completely oblivious to the fact that this trak was a hit for Johnnie Taylor)

Rock the house  –  Nicole (This trak came from the same lp/cd that was released on different labels under different titles in different years – most confusing …. and that’s probably why this trak was not as successful as it should have been)

Angel  –  Dennis Taylor (Dennis takes Anita Baker’s masterpiece and makes it his own … released on U.K.’s own Dome Records)

At the football stadium  –  Love Symphony Orchestra (Lead vocals Diva Gray – a top drawer New York session vocalist … as Disco was at it’s zenith and everybody wanted a slice including Bob Guccione – owned of soft-porn magazine Penthouse)

Funky parts  –  Junie (Morrison – have been an Ohio Player, a major player in the Parliament/Funkadelic musical coterie and co-written ‘One nation under the groove’ with George Clinton – no more needs to be said)

Dance (Do that thing)  –  Black Magic (Written and Louie Vega & Kenny Dope Gonzalez with Black Magic …. the simplicity is breath-taking – that’s why Kenny & Louie were ahead of their game)

I wish i never met you  –  Mica Paris with Bobby Womack (Then darling of the U.K.  Soul Posse – Mica had the opportunity to step into the shoes both of Loleatta Holloway & Shirley Brown who both made duets with Bobby previously)

Mirage  –   Kebekeletrik (A Canadian studio band  which had a U.S. release on Salsoul Records, was able to pick up the U.K. lp release from a short term record shop on Marylebone Road – just round the corner from the station in London)

Love and Understanding  –  Kool & the Gang (Whilst looking at B.E.T. (Black Entertainment Television) recently this band were given ‘The Lifetime Achievement Award’ …  and are one of the most sampled bands by Hip hop artists)

Cicadas  – Tom Middleton (‘As Jack of all Trades’ in the electronic music field – Tom came into focus whilst working Aphex Twin then spread his wings into electronic music sub-genres)
