Today’s trax

Whatever it is  –  Aretha Franklin (After years at Atlantic Records – Aretha left for Clive Davis’s Arista Records and they release an album simply called ‘Aretha’ …’Re’ as she is sometimes affectionately knows also plays piano on this trak)

7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (Blow your whistle)  –  Gary Toms Empire (Released on ‘Pickwick International Productions) also known as P.I.P. … this Roger Cook composition is/was an all round feel-good party record that still gets played to this day)

Go with the flow  –  Weeks & Co. (Having been successful with his previous studio band ‘The Jammers’  – Richie Weeks came back with the same concept however with his surname in the title … although  this is a Boogie band, it has essences of British Funk band ‘Light of the World’ in it)

Burnin’ for your yearnin’  –  Paul Johnson (Released on Chicago’s Dust Traxx in ’99 –  Paul was made an ‘Evergreen’ … Paul is one of Chicago’s finest who craft his trax rather than throw them together)
