Don’t bring back memories  –  Passion (A studio project devised by writer/producer etc. Ray Martinez who had already proved himself as a backroom boy for Henry Stone’s TK assorted labels – this was a Prelude release)

Marching in the streets  –  Harvey Mason (Harvey was a session drummer before joining Herbie Hancock during his ‘Head Hunters’ faze … title trak from album of the same name on Arista Records)

Are you gonna be there  –  Shay Jones (Having writing and sung with Synth Pop/Industrial Metal band ‘Ministry’ whilst living in Chicago – Shay moved into House Music … this trak being produced by Steve “Silk” Hurley)

Trax feat. Peven Everett, The Trammps, Funk Inc., River Plate Samba Orchestra

 

 

Street walker  –  Peven Everett (Known for his House/Garage output however this trak is entrenched in Soul music … Peven is a ‘jack of all trades’ musically who has also dabbled in Hip Hop & Jazz)

Disco Party  –  The Trammps (Recorded at Sigma Sound in Philadelphia  U.S.A. – was their first long player for Atlantic Records -this is an 8 minutes plus work-out even name checking the ‘dance’ of the day)

Smokin at Tiffany’s  –  Funk Inc. (Assigned to Prestige Records about the same time as they became part of Fantasy … this was a trak from their third album ‘Hangin’ out’)

Congo   –  River Plate Samba Orchestra (Released as   a one-off 12″ on Coast to Coast Records – a U.K label … this trak is inspired by ‘In the forest – Baby O)

Trax feat. Patti Labelle, Quartz, Pleasure, Mariah Carey

 

 

He’s out of my life  –  Patti Labelle (The original was brought to the public’s attention by Michael Jackson … Patti changed the song’s gender and makes it her own – from her ‘Classic Moments’ album)

Beyond the clouds  –  Quartz (French studio band – whose self-titled album was licensed to TK Records’ Marlin subsidary … was also an inspiration for a Began Cekic production)

Let’s dance  –  Pleasure (Originally assigned to former Crusaders Wayne Henderson “At Home Productions” company … a nine piece band from Oregon U.S.A. whose genre was the Jazzier side of Funk)

Dream lover  –  Mariah Carey (Mariah sold millions whilst at Sony Records –  and with David Morales at the remixing desk for the House/Garage where he added that special something without losing the original song … that’s why they called him ‘The Boss’)
