Christmas on river side drive – August Darnell (Re-imagining his composition which was recorded by Gichy Dan … August joined his sibling Stony Browder to create Dr. Buzzard Original Savannah Band and later formed Kid Creole & the Coconuts with Andy Hernandez)

It’s a holiday – Material featuring Nona Hendryx (Material was known for ‘Industrial Funk’ trax for their early releases headed by Michael Beinhorn & Bill Laswell … Nona was the main writer for female trio Labelle also co-vocalist known for ‘Lady Marmalade’ amongst others)

Holy Ghost – Dj Spen & the MuthaFunkaz (Sean Spencer was the writer of ‘Girl you know it’s true’ which was a hit for “Milli Vanilli” which was originally recorded by ‘Numarx’… the MuthaFunkaz are an assemblage who came together because of Baltimore’s Basement Boys Records/Productions)

After hours – Tashan (Going independent after being the first Soul artist assigned to the Hip-hop label ” Def Jam” – whose subsidiary became ‘Original Black Records’ Tashan (Rashad) drops his long player “Life goes on” on ‘Power Kingdom Records’)

I want to make it with you – The Persuaders (This vocal quartet were assigned to ‘ATCO’, a division of Atlantic Records … one of their later singles became a hit for Maxi Priest, Robert Palmer and Rod Stewart, another became the title of a movie and covered by “H-Town”)

Face the music – Trilark (Think ‘Three Larks’ trio released their only one self-titled album on Handshake Records which also featured and produced by members of New York’s “Crown Heights Affair”… C.H.A. was musically involved with over ten studio acts based in

Holy Ghost – Dj Spen & The Muthafunkaz (Based in Baltimore, U.S.A. and headed by Dj Spen also known as Sean Spencer – released on Code Red Recordings … the MuthaFunkaz has put their phenomenal musical talents to a variety of Quantize Recordings Artists)

Silent Night  –  Etta James (Named Jamesetta Hawkins and she was discovered Johnny Otis who changed her professional name – he also  included his touring review … she was later recorded for Modern, Kent & Chess Records)

God rest ye merry gentlemen  –  Salsoul Orchestra (After the success of ‘Christmas Jollies’ – Salsoul decided it would be appropiate to for a second Christmas album … with Patrick Adams at the helm using his various musical associates)

Santa Claus go straight to the Ghetto  –  James Brown (From the album ‘A Soulful Christmas’ – with “Soul Brother No.1” James Brown dressed up on the album cover as Santa … written by Pee Wee Ellis, Hank Ballard & Charles Bobbit)
