Trax feat. True Reflection, The Trammps, 24 Carat Black, Thelma Houston

Look at all the lonely people  –  True Reflection (A quartet who recorded for Atco, a unit of  Atlantic Records – member Glenn Leonard later joined “The Temptations” … co-produced & co-written by Rodney Brown and Willie Lester who later wrote and produce hits for Prelude Records)

Disco Party  –  The Trammps (“The Trammps” were the evolution of a Phildelphian vocal group ‘The Volcanos’  which included Earl Young, brothers Harold & Stanley Wade amongst others … recording for Buddah and Norman Harris’s Golden Fleece before signing to Atlantic Records)

Ghetto : Misfortune Wealth  –  24 Carat Black (24 Carat Black’s album was released on Stax Records’s Enterprise subsidary … a concept album which was under sold and valued until the Hip hop producers came ‘sampling’ which elevated it cult status)

All of that  –  Thelma Houston (Thelma came to the prominence via her cover of ‘The Rolling Stones’s “Jumping Jack Flash” on Dunhill Records before resurfacing Motown’s Mo West imprint … written by the lady herself with Dave Lee – nom de plume Joey Negro)
