Today’s trax

Let it be you  –  Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes (After years of yearning for a national hit –  they signed to the newly formed Philadelphia International Records … this is from their ‘breakout’ hit album which was recorded at Joe Tarsia’s Sigma Sound Studios, Philadelphia, USA)

This is it  –  Dan Hartman (Having being a member of the Rock band ‘Edgar Winter Group’, Dan decided to change his musical direction and jump into the Disco pool …. originally released as a medley on the lp – this was dissected into ‘a’ & ‘b’ sides for 12″ release)

Yellow Pages  –  General Caine (This trak was from their second lp on Tabu Records … sadly to say their leader Mitch McDowell was murdered in 1992 whilst working for his family business … released on cd as part of the ‘Tabu Reborn’ re-release project)

I feel music  –  Harlem Zip Code (“Inspired” by ‘Could heaven ever be like this – Idris Muhammad’ on Creed Taylor’s subsidary  ‘Kudu Records’ …  this trak turned on an extended play 12′ on Paper records)
