I can’t love anymore  –  Teena Marie (Because of the prejudices of America – and the rest of the world, this white woman’s first album ”Wild & Peaceful” was released without her photo on the album … thankfully her Talent shone bright through all the bullshit)

A case of the boogie  –  Brainstorm (Written by songsmith extraordinaire Sam Dees and features  Belita Woods on lead vocals – from the album ‘Funky Entertainment’ on Tabu Records which was their last album … a mild mannered trak before it goes into Disco “overdrive”)

Hey Senorita  –  War (this Californian Funk band has embrace its Latin associations – released on Far Out Productions and license to a variety of record labels for their releases including United Artists’ Islands & MCA …  their trax has been fodder for a variety of Hip Hop artists)

New School Fusion  –  Rhythmcentric (Released on ‘Look at You’ Records – headed by Greg Diehl & Craig Christensen … remixed by the Basement Boys)

Warning – Danger  –  Cissy Houston (Having been a background vocalist for Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and others – Cissy dips her feet in the Disco pool with this Michael Zager produced, Private Stock Records release … now available on cd)

Peanut Butter – Twennynine with Lenny White (Departing from JazzFusion supergroup – Lenny put together a Funk/Soul band which he produced with ‘Earth, Wind & Fire’s Larry Dunn … released on Elektra)

Joy  –  Staxx featuring Carol Leeming (Leicester based Carol formerly of ‘Boyz in Shock’ blasted the dance floors across the world with this Champion Records single… written by Tom jones & Simon Thorne)
