Angel of the night   –   Angela Bofill (Saw this lady  at The Odeon Hammersmith in London with some of my family and friends when she performed as part of “The New York Jazz Explosion in the late eighties – she was lovely, warm and sincere when we met backstage afterwards … since then she has being struck down with a variety of illnesses …. Please buy her music legally to help her financially   … Thank You)

Heat of the beat  –  Roy Ayers/Wayne Henderson (Two giants of Jazz-Fusion puts their talents together for this under-stated slice of Disco … not instantaneous  but a ‘growing groover’)

Surrey ride  – The Beginning of the end (The Beginning of the end were a Bahamas funk band who released two lp  on Alston Records distributed by Atlantic …. you can hear a the local ‘Calypso’ influence in their trax … the first self-titled has been released on Japanese cd as part of Atlantic’s ‘1000  R & B Best Collection’)

Rushing  –  Loni Clark (Mood II Swing are Lem Springsteen & John Caifone are the writers and producers of the piece of “Nervous Records” perfection …. acknowledging their U.S. record label)
