(The best part of) Breaking up  –  Roni Griffith (Co-written by Phil Spector  who produced also the mega-hit for The Ronettes  …  for a very short while Roni was a ‘Coconut’ according to Kid Creole himself – August Darnell  …   she was the blonde on the backside of the ‘Off the coast of me’ lp)

Do your thing  –  Orgone (The original was from the O.S.T. Shaft – Isaac Hayes  …. Isaac was the first African-American to win a “Grammy”  …. the original was over 19 minutes long however Orgone’s version features Fanny Franklin is only 4 minutes plus but still packs a punch …. from the lp/cd The Killion Floor on Ubiquity Records)

Only time will tell  –  Ten City (The quality of Ten City’s lp/cds has never waned – however their buying public has … Byron Stingily once again on lead vocal and was self produced   …  recorded in Chicago but mixed in New York  …  from their last album for East-West –  a unit of WEA Records)

Staying power  –  Barry White (The last cd of  ‘The Maestro’ as mentioned on one of his ‘Love Unlimited Orchestra’ lp’s –  big man, big voice, big talent, big orchestra …  cd of the same name also featured Chaka Khan and trax written by the band War & Sylvester Stewart of Sly & The Family Stone)

Pipe line   –  Bruce Johnston (A ‘Beach Boy’ first and foremost who also released individual lps and singles in his own right  …  though the recording industry started issuing 12″ to the buying public – this was only released on 7″ in the U.K.)

The music  –  Visual (Produced by Timmy Regisford & Boyd Jarvis, mixed by ‘Mr. Yellorange’ himself  Tony Humphries … released on Prelude Records  …  there was/is a further remix by Shep Pettibone  …  as well as house mix available on ‘Bootleg Dance Classics’)

Itching for love  –  Mikki (Mikki Farrow although being a Chicago native recorded mainly in Philadelphia which also including writing, arranging and background vocals as well as her solo work   …  produced and arranged by Norman Harris at Blank Tape Studios, New York)

Follow your dreams  –  Michelle Weeks (This lady was one of the vocalists in the remake of the movie ‘Little Shop of Horrors’  … one of the busiest House/Garage vocalists – she has chalked up over 45 12″ releases  …  released on Rambuncious Records)
