Doin’ the best that i can  –  Bettye Lavette (This special remix was by the late great Walter Gibbons – who was the first Dj/Remixer  ….  an early release on West End Records whose trax were tested for ‘groovability’ (my word) on Paradise Garage nightclub in New York)

BNH  –  Brand New Heavies (The ‘funkateers’ of London like the music so much that the re-started to have Funk music nights – and hardly any of it was being produced in the U,S, they started to make their own – this group is ‘the top of the tree’ in terms of quality and success)

Love don’t live here anymore no more –  Basement Boys (The Boys took a sweet ballad by Rose Royce featuring Gwen Dickey and turned it a Garage trak … released on Jump Street in U.S. – mixed by Tony Humphries … note word change from ‘any’ to ‘no’)
