Trax feat. Meli’sa Morgan, Charanga 76, S.O.S Band and Infinity

Do you still love me  –  Meli’sa Morgan featuring Najee (I recently went to see this lady in concert … her vocal power is harnessed on record/cd compared to her live performance and she is very attractive lady also)

Music Trance  – Charanga 76 (Released on the small Latin label – TR Records who along with Latino originals they also featured cover versions of the day … originally written and sung by Ben E King)

Take your time (do it right)  –  S.O.S Band (The Sounds of Success Band exploded out of Atlanta U.S.A. on unto the dance floors … when i went to see them in concert earlier this week with Meli’sa & The Whispers – they haven’t lost their ‘Success’ tag)

Back 2 Chicago  –  Infinity featuring Malik (Written by Roy Davis released on New York’s King Street Sounds)

Trax feat. Aretha Franklin, Dr. Buzzard Original Savannah Band, Chamleon and Jay Williams

Day dreaming  –  Aretha Franklin (Her own composition – that’s why the call her ‘The Queen of Soul’ … Jocelyn Brown also did a Reggae version)

The Seven Year Itch  –  Dr. Buzzard Original Savannah Band (Stony Browder, August Darnell, Cory Daye, Andy Hernandez aka Coati Mundi Mickey Seville and not forgetting their ever present dog Mr. Limelight made up this band)

Get up  –  Chameleon (One off album on Elektra Records … produced by Fred Wesley – James Brown’s former first lieutenant)

Sweat  –  Jay Williams (Jay shows us that ‘there’s is a message in his music’ – he highlighted the in-equality and the ill-treatment of black people in South Africa … released on the then independent and iconic Big Beat Records)

Trax feat. Gloria Scott, Gino Soccio, The Strikers and 250 LBS of Blue

Love me, love me, love me or leave me, leave me, leave me  –  Gloria Scott (Produced by Barry White –  released by the new up & coming Casablanca Records but was extremely over-shadowed as Barry career exploded as he transformed from producer to artist)

Les Visiteurs/The Visitors  –  Gino Soccio (Canadian  Gino first came to prominence via the iconic Kebekeletrik (Quebec Electric) studio group … from his first solo album ‘Outline’ – released by Celebration/Quality Records in Canada and RFC/Warner Brothers for the rest of the world)

Strike it up  –  The Strikers (Five to ten years earlier this trak would have been classed as ‘Slow Burning Funk’ – now its ‘Slow Burning Boogie’ due to musical technology … gravely overlooked for other more familiar cuts from their only album)

Rejoice  –  250Lbs of Blue featuring Elizabeth Mourdant (Written, produced, arranged. programmed. conceived and performed by Bluejean … remixed by Dj Spen also known as Sean Spencer – released by Eightball Records)
