Is it it – Peter Jacques Band (Named after Fred Jacques Petrus – this waste of their lesser known studio band which as usual was recorded in Italy and vocals and mixing added in New York … originally released on Italian’s “Goody Goody Music”)

The Sound Table – Cameo (Leader Larry Blackmon was part of a self-contained band which included Gwen Guthrie & Pat Grant who wrote ‘Supernatural Thing’ … for a short while they were known as “The Players” before choosing the moniker ‘Cameo’ from the album “Knights of the Sound Table on Chocolate City Records)

Thinkin’ of you – Bobby D’Ambrosio ( As part of the “Definity Records” family which also included David Morales & Frankie Knuckles … mainly a vocal filled album although the trak listing varied from the U.S. cd compared to it’s German counterpart – available as a triple vinyl album)

Standing in the shadows of love – Barry White (After his major success as writer/producer with a trio which included his future wife ‘Glodean’ – Barry released his first long player “I’ve got so much love to give” which featured the Motown classic from the pens’ of ‘Holland, Dozier, Holland’)

Fresh idea – Deco (As part of the band ‘Switch’ who released albums on Motown Records via Jermaine Jackson and his wife production & management company … they later became a duo who released their only album on Quincy Jones’s “Qwest Records”)

Wait – Quentin Harris with Denise Henderson (Although a New York resident, Quentin is a native of Detroit, U.S.A. … releasing a plethora of 12 inch singles on various labels – signed to cult label “Strictly Rhythm Records” – his album featured vocal based trax which he is known for)

What you waiting for – Rose Royce (After being the main featured artist of a movie about a Carwash – former backing musicians for producer Norman Whitfield signed his label ‘Whitfield Records’… “I feel some Funk coming on” are the opening lyrics)

One drum – Copyright feat Shovell (Percussionist and ‘M People’ member Andrew Lovell also known as “Shovell” has branched out working with the Cream of the U.K. dance fraternity and others including Candi Staton, Kenny Thomas & Byron Stingily … released on ‘Copyright Recordings’)
