Who keeps changing your mind  –  South Street Player (South Street Player is one of a plethora of pseudonyms used by Roland Clark  – the most well known is ‘Urban Soul’ … release on New York’s Strictly Rhythm Records)

Strange Fruit  –  Nina Simone (This was originally a poem about lynching of predominantly Afro Americans in “The Deep South” of America … it has being claimed that after getting a very large tax bill and being upset Nina re-named the U.S.A as the ‘United Snakes of America’)

Love bug  –  Bumble Bee Unlimited (Written by ‘Master of the Masterpiece’Patrick Adams and produced by Greg ‘Inner Life’ Carmichael – released on the cult label “Red Greg Records” in the U.S. which was released on “Sky Records” in the U.K.)

The World is a Ghetto  –  Phillip Bent (British flautist Phillip was assigned to GRP Records headed by Dave Grusin & Larry Rosen and was part of U.K. freestyle “Jazz Warriors” … a re-interpretation of ‘War’s evergreen ‘The World is a Ghetto’)

My Loleatta  –  Ellis D aka Junior Vasquez (The only way to described this trax as ‘Loleatta Holloway Live’ … a known Dj taped her at a nightclub – it was remixed and released on Arthur Baker’s “Minimal Records”)

Why  –  Carly Simon (From the soundtrack “Soup for One” … this trak was written and produced by Messrs Edwards & Rogers also know as ‘Chic’ … Carly is/was know for her Pop classic ‘You’re so Vain’ rumoured to be about Mick Jagger)

We came to funk ya  –  Fred Wesley & the Horny Horns (Former  James Brown’s 1st Lieutenant  Fred jons George Clinton Funky entourage … from the album “Say blow by blow backwards” which also features Maceo Parker – produced by Clinton, Wesley & William’Bootsy’ Collins)
