Stop the taxi  –  Lonzine Wright (Released on New York’s “Tyson Records” – this little Boogie masterpiece was arranged by “Disco Wizard” Patrick Adams and written/produced by label owner Harvey Miller)

One night in Heaven – M People (Former lead vocalist of “Hothouse” Heather Small along with Mike  Pickering former keyboardist for underground band ‘Quango Quango’ – who provided the “M” in their name)

No one does it better  –  Jean Carn (Former Jean Perkins got her surname from her husband “Black Jazz Records” artist Doug Carn … after being featured as lead and background vocalist for her husband and groups such as “Earth, Wind & Fire” amongst others , she became a solo artist – from the album ‘Love Lessons’)

D-A-N-C-I-N  –  Stephanie Mills (With a new record label contract courtesy of “20th Century Fox Records – Stephanie got to work with producers James Mtume & Reggie Lucas where the hits flowed … from the album “Sweet Sensation”)

State of Attraction  –  Rhonda Clark (Released on Clarence Avant’s “Tabu Records” … Clarence used producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis  as they had been very successful with some of his other artists which includes “SOS Band”, Alexander O’Neal & ‘Cherrelle’)

Right by your side  –  Nathan Haines (New Zealand born Nathan is a saxophonist & vocalist … he was featured on a few “Drum & Bass” trax then later tied up with one of London’s most important underground labels – “Chillifunk Records”)

One love   –  Robert Owens (Robert is known as ‘One of the Founding Fathers of House Music’ – as he was part of the trio the “Fingers Inc” – which also includes writer/arranger/producer Larry Heard … double cd was released on Germany’s Compost Records featuring various producers)

Just as long as i know you’re mine  –  Dee Dee Sharp Gamble (Having being a hit-maker at a young age with a trak which started a dance in the same vein as Chubby Checker’s  “The Twist” … Dee Dee later recorded for her husband’s Kenneth Gamble’s own label)

Rainstorm  –  Noel Pointer (Violinist Noel was assigned to Jazz phenomenon Blue Note Records – his first solo album “Phantazia” was produced by future label heads Dave Grusin & Larry Rosen of GRP fame known for discovering Angela Bofill)

Can’t get away  –  Mood 11 Swing featuring Caroline Johnson (Mood 11 Swing were just one of the pseudonyms of duo John Ciafone & Lem Springfield … their productions and compositions were released on a variety of labels including King Street Sounds, Groove On, Defected and others)
