I remember  –  Meli’sa Morgan (Meli’sa had previously released an uncredited single under the name ‘Shades of Love’ moniker before joining studio band “High Fashion” then going solo … released on Orpheus Music headed by Charles & Beau Huggins)

Boogie Boo  –  Bionic Boogie (After his major Disco success with Andrea True Connection – writer/producer Gregg Diamond got together with the cream of New York’s session musicians and called them Bionic Boogie … signed & release by Polydor Records)

Rising sun  –  Beggar & Co (As an off-shot of London’s ‘Light of the World’- the premier Jazz-Funk band in the U.K … Beggar and Company was assigned to RCA and became a hit band as the horn section section on Spandau Ballet’s Chant No. 1)

Smile  –  Jasper Street Company (“Every time i see your smiling face, it reminds me of the good Lord’s grace” are the opening verse – a Basement Boys release … a genre known as Gospel House has gain prominence in clubs across the world )

Heaven  –  Solo (there has been several artist(s) named Solo – this quartet are an accappela group who were assigned to writers/producers extraordinaire Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis’s Perspective Records … from their album ‘Solo’)

Plain out of luck  –  Gayle Adams (Released as a b-side 12 inch in the U.K. on Prelude/Epic imprint – this is a Willie Lester & Rodney Brown composition/production who were also involved musically with Bobby Thurston along with Sharon Redd)

Everything is Great  –  Inner Circle (Released on Island Records … this trak is purport to be Reggae but it is truly Funky –  ‘we’ve got the Boogie for you’ are part of the chorus)

Bagdad Cafe’ (Callin U)  –  A:xus feat. Naomi (Cover version of the title trak from a movie of the same name – set in the desert and based around the visitors & inhabitants of said cafe … there was also a television series featuring Whoopi Goldberg)

A time for celebration  –  Faith, Hope & Charity feat. The Choice Four (Writer/arranger/producer Van McCoy has been with his muses F, H, & C. for a number of years when Zulema Cusseaux was part of the group before leaving for a solo career … Choice Four was also produced by Van McCoy)

The Blackbyrds Theme  –  the Blackbyrds (Put together by the trumpet supremo whilst Donald Byrd whilst at his tenure at Howard University, Washington U.S.A. … assigned to Fantasy Records – this is a trak from their second album release “Flying Start”)

Andrea Love (Released on Eric Morillo’s Subliminal Records – Chicagoan based Eric Miller writer/producer released singles under a variety of pseudonyms on a variety of labels … Andrea Love was one one of Eric’s several featured vocalists who also worked with Italian dj/producers)
