Jada – Pointer Sisters (As real life sisters the Pointers’ released some singles on Atlantic before moving unto Blue Thumb Records … vocally & dress-wise their stylings hark back from the Twenties to the Fifties and were adored by the music critics and fans alike)
Synergy – Alec R Constandino & The Synchophonic Orchestra feat. Alirol and Jacquet (Alec came to my attention via Cerrone’s productions & his “Love & Kisses” studio project which was featured in the Disco movie ‘Thank God It’s Friday” starring Donna Summer)
Cut the cake – Average White Band (Scottish Funk band were assigned to MCA Records, with little success until an Atlantic recording contract beckoned … produced by Atlantic’s secret weapon Arif Mardin when hits started flow)
Makin Happy – Crystal Waters (Crystal was assigned to Basement Boys Productions although assigned to Mercury Records – she was a (co) writer of her recording(s) which took the dance floors by storm … from her debut album “Surprise”)
