Enchanted Lady – The Pasadenas (Inspired by Soul/Funk music of the previous two decades – this U.K. quintet was assigned to Columbia Records … co-written by the group and their producer Pete Wingfield known for his British hit ‘Eighteen with a bullet’)

Law of the land – Alfie Khan Sound Orchestra (Recorded and mixed at Hansa Studios, Germany – and released on Atlantic Records … a re-interpretation of the Norman Whitfield nugget he previously wrote and produced for Motown artists)

Monterey – Rhythm Makers (Recording for New York’s Delite Records imprint ‘Vigor’ which was named after their head Fred Vigorito – the Rhythm Makers were a self-contained group who became more successful after changing labels)

Roots – Tedd Patterson presents Blackbone (Released on London’s “Black Vinyl Records” … releasing trax on such labels owned by Francois Kervorkian, Eric Kupper amongst others, Tedd also had residency at a variety of New York night clubs)

My Dear Mr. Gaye – Teena Marie (Mary Christine Brockert also known Teena Marie was assigned to Motown Records in the mid-seventies where she met fellow signee Marvin … co-written by Leon Ware who was also Gaye’s collaborator – from the album ‘Starchild’ on Epic Records)

Can you tell me why – Jackie Moore (Jackie recorded at Sigma Sound Studio, Philadelphia, whilst assigned to Atlantic Records – she returned there for her Columbia albums which was produced by MFSB & Salsoul Orchestra member Bobby Eli)

Monterey – Rhythm Makers (Released on ‘Vigor’ part of New York’s independent “Delite Records”, where they reached underground cult status they later changed their name and record label & the hits flowed … from their only an album “Soul on my side” )

Up in flames – Satoshi Tomiie feat. Kelli Ali (Japanese Tomiie was discoverd by Frankie Knuckles who brought him to record with his old apartment associate Robert Owens … Ali was formally with “Sneaker Pimps”)

Tonight – Hunt’s Determination Band (Seven piece Funk/Soul band based around Motor City ‘Detroit’ U.S.A … assigned to the city’s own Earwax Records whose slogan was ‘The New Sound of Detroit”)

My Desire – Don Ray (Also known as Raymond Donnez … his only album ‘Garden of love’ was produced Marc Cerrone – Ray was the arranger for a plethora of productions including Cerrone & Alec R Constandinos amongst others)

Monterey – Rhythm Makers (Assigned to Vigor Records an off-shot of Delite Records which was named after owner Fred Vigorito … ‘Soul on your side’ was the only album before moving to Arista as ‘GQ’)

Sonny – Roy Davis Jnr (Chicago based Dj/producer trak was released on Canada’s ‘Bombay Records’ … inspired by the Bobby Herb masterpiece of the same name – although different spelling)
